The Obama trip. I was reading last Friday about Obama deciding to skip going to Landstuhl, originally he said it was out of respect, I can understand that. After digging a little further I find that while in his mind it may, and I stress may, have been out of respect, it was more disrespectfull not to go. The reason I think it was disrespectfull is that no one told him he couldn't go, they said he couldn't bring press or campaign staff. I thought this was a reasonable request. Now some might argue that it still would have been seen as a political move, but either way he sided it was a political move involving the wounded at Landstuhl. The one thing being left out is the consideration of the wounded soldiers at Landstuhl. Being that it would have been seen in a political light wither way he should have gone alone to pay respect to those men and women who he intends to lead. No need to campaing, simply shake there hands and say thank you. Now I know that would have been seen as a political move, but I myself and many others would have not taken issue so long as he went alone. As a veteran and Gold Star family member I will be watching this campaign closely, particularly with regards as to how they treat and intend to treat both current military and veterans. This is a paramount concern to me, and plays a major roll in my decision. The number of veterans is growing. Obama still has a long way to go to connect with with veterans, this isn't a very promising start. I'd like your thought and input, please send comments.

Well everything has been moved out of the apartment, and most has been moved into the house, there are still a few boxes in the garage. Things are thawing out and turning green at the house and soon it'll be time to put up a fence for the dogs and update the fence in the pasture area for sheep and chickens, will start looking for them soon. Apart from that things just keep rolling, it's very very quiet at the house and it's nice to have that in the morning. I will update more when time permits, look for another post soon.

Well it's been about 6 months or so since I update this blog, not much has been going on, still working for Idexx Computer Systems. As some of you may know we've been trying to buy a house for about 3 months now and we've finally succeeded. It's a one and a half story farm house on 2 acres, the original part of the house was a log cabin and stone mason foundation built in 1894, it has been added on to since then. I have pictures of it on my online photo album at http://picasaweb.google.com/farmhouse I will be adding more pictures in the coming days. I will also update the blog from either home or work as time and Internet bandwidth permit. Look for new posts soon.

Well, it's been a while since i was last here. What's new.... I've just about finished the training phase at IDEXX and am starting to take calls. Dave is still chugging along at her job. Yesterday was a fun day though, I went off the road in my truck, I was the only one in the truck and yes I was wearing my seatbelt. Aside from a few bumps and bruises, none to my head, I'm fine, will be a little sore for a while, got the truck pulled out of the culvert and it seems to have made it unscathed, minus the CB antenna that was ripped off. Apart from that not much else new, I will go back to work tomorrow.

Well an update for everyone, I was fired from Stansfield on Monday for several reasons, one of which was that they found out I was still testing the waters, as it were. Well the very next day after I was fired I had 2 interviews, one of which I had only applied the day before. I wills start work on Monday for IDEXX Computer Systems, they do computer hardware and software for veterinary offices. I'll let ya'll know how the first day went when I get home Monday.
